    Default MOS MOD LARGE BARRACKS EVENT EARLY : D

    In case their are some of you who don't like the long wait for MOS barracks script to occur and dont know how to change it, heres a small thing i did with the help of some of the developers from MOS! Dunno if it was an easy thing or something most of you guys knew about but i thought i'd share it, keep in mind this will only let the LARGE BARRACKS event to occur somewhere around 12- 15 turns, i tried the Huge barracks but it wouldn't work : ( , to install it go, Third_Age_3\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign oh and make sure you use the clearner after you have installed it : ) thought it'll be fun to have abit more of a variety of troops early instead of bloody milita xD take care! : D

    This applies for all the faction? How early are we talking? What about Archers and Cavalry?

    Yeah all factions and when i tested for example citadel guards will be available to Gondor much earlier and trolls a swell for Mordor and so on, it should be around 12-15 turns however this is just the Large barracks event, i tried to do Huge but it just wouldnt work :/ but this should appease you until the huge barracks event does occur : )

    So, it only applies for the barracks units and not for archers and cavalry units?

    Only problem with this mod is the AI will just bankrupt themselves much earlier in the game adn will not be able to use money on upgrading their city's due to high upkeep on these costly units..

    No it will apply for Archers and Calvary units too when i say barracks i actually mean Barracks script, my bad lol but i guess it does depend on which faction you play as since some factions do limit themselves in certain units, like the dwarves who i actually think have no Calvary at all but if you play as rohan, guaranteed you'll get advance calvary units, also in my experience with Third Age in the past and present, their wasnt really much of a problem with the factions having a lack of stacked units or money trouble, when you send a diplomat to talked to them, it says their bankrupt and still they will continue to get stacked units, I'd suggest to you the next time you create a new campaign to accept the garrison script and the horde script with VH/VH if you want that is, especially if playing as Gondor, dwarves, Arnor/Eriador and Mordor but im sure you'll find just the same amount of fun with any faction really lol : )

    well, after some investigating (sending SPY's into every Mordor settelment) then they were bankrupt according to the diplomat screen, they didn't build any new building in most of their settlements...only produces units.

    Anyway, I see what you mean

    event historic large_city_barracks
    date 1 1
    ;date 1 1 turns

    ;event historic huge_city_barracks
    ;date 5 6
    ;date 64 68 turns

    So, large barrack (gondor infantry, archers and spearmen ect) will be available at the beginning instead of turn 16....but huge city barrack stays the same...

    well originally the large barracks event didnt occur until 35 turns i think with MOS so i changed it to occur at 12-15 turns, the huge barracks event is the same because as i said at the top of this thread, i didnt know how to do it and the MOS developers said there wasn't a way that I could change it.

    well i did make this mod for my own personal use,you dont need to use the mod if you dont want to lol i just posted it here in case others were interested in it since i knew it was kinda a common complaint.

    Huge isn't user.. it is shut down by the ; before it

    As Hero says, the huge city barracks was entirely removed in 3.x

    oh, well that explains alot why i couldnt change the huge barracks script lol xD thanks guys.
