Medieval 2 Kindoms wont install

I have been trying to install medieval 2 kindoms for the past couple days, but all I get when I click setup is an error message saying "String ID_MISSING_LANGUAGE was not found in string table". I click ok and then another message comes up that just says "ID_MISSING_LANGUAGE". Does anyone know how to fix this?

Where did you get your copy of Kingdoms?
What copy of Medieval2 do you have installed?

I got my copy of Kingdoms along with Medieval 2 Gold edition from Amazon. My Medieval 2 version is 1.03.

Logged in as Administrator?
Disabled the UAC, yet?

I am logged in as administrator and I have disabled UAC. I think the Kingdoms version is 1.04

When/if it's installed, yes.
It could be a bad disc. Do you have another computer to try to install the game on, even a friend's?

I didnt get the game as a disc, I got it as a download. Cant it be fixed if its a download?

No. From past people coming on this forum with that download we learned that the Amazon download is broken and requires a patch. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't seem to host it and SEGA's site doesn't either. The last time this happened the user had to contact SEGA customer support and they gave him code for a free download of the game from the Steam store. It sounded at the time like the Amazon download was no longer supported. I think that's your only play. Good luck!
