I think thats the fastest card available for AGP so you've not got alot of choice.
Provided that the rest of your system is mid range then it'll run oblivion on med settings i'd of thought. I don't think anything runs Oblivion on max max so mid is a good target .
...but I think Germany with home advantage will raise their game as always for the big ones and win the title. Post #260

AGP 4x? Great, what does it cost?? Gotta get this, I plan on buying a new comp when Vista is out, not before, don't wanna spend money on another Win XP.

Well as said before it is the fastest AGP card avaliable, so if you are not planning to upgrade to PCIe then go for it, but I however would recommend an upgrade to PCIe, as even a slower PCIe card will be faster than an AGP one.

Yeah but that would mean buying a new motherboard and motherboards are very expensive.

My computer does fine, although I have decent spec's.

I doubt a Nvidia 6500 is better than the 7800GS... actually i know it isnt

The problem for him is if he buys a new motherboard, he will most likely need new RAM, a new CPU, and a new GPU, which will cost more than $300, which is how much the 7800GS is.

I would highly reccomend you switch to PCI-express within the next 6 months or so though... AGP is just about dead.

Well if i can find a cheap motherboard that runs PCI-E then i might get one but that and a GPU jeez i dont even have a job yet i was just planning on somehow getting a job then saving up some money and getting a new card this really sucks cause my 9800 Pro is literally dying it has rainbow effects on every game and its way out of date.

I think it has an excessively long name.
