Unspecified error during battle

Hello! I am encountering a problem where shortly after particular battle starts, the game encounters an unspecified error. In this instance, I am attacking an army of the OoG and they have reinforcements from Carn Dum. Not long after the battle begins, the game crashes. This has happened once before while I was playing the Fellowship campaign, and I eventually just autoresolved the battle since I didn't think I could win it anyway. In that case, there were no reinforcements. This time however, I'd prefer to do it myself. Thanks for any help! On Windows 7, 64 bit. I'm sure there is more information I could give, just let me know.

Is it only this battle or anytime when you start a battle?
I assume it's the former, and there's a known problem just when reinforcments are involved. Either replay it till it works (tideous) or, if you assume to win anyway, pick up the console (normally the ~ key but sometimes ö, ø or other depending on localised keyboards) and type autowin_attacker,press enter and then the auto-battle-button for this special battle

If the latter have you disabled the summer/winter autio adjustment?
If using a submod you may need to delete the two descr_geography_new-files found in the data-folder

It was only this battle but it had happened in one battle previously, which did not have reinforcements. I ended up just leaving that area and continued elsewhere. One thing about the previous occurrence was that at the very start, the adviser would appear and quickly disappear before saying anything despite being disabled. In both cases though, the game would crash ~1 minute after the battle started.
