    RAM- OCZ Value Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory

    Moniter- Rosewill R912E Black 19" 8ms LCD Monitor 270 cd/m2 500:1 0.294mm Pixel Pitch

    Video Card- SAPPHIRE 100106L Radeon X850XT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

    Case- XION XION II XON-102 Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (450W Power Supply)

    Ok, so don't laugh at the power supply PLZ lol... Any thoughts things I might not be thinking of? also cooling ideas?

    I think you should get a Conroe for your processors. AMD is in deep **** atm.

    Why S939? Go for AM2 for future proofing.

    C2D is abit tough to get right now + not enough boards out for it yet.

    What's your budget? I'm guessing you're trying to go cheap. Go for AM2 with a x2 3800+(good prices right now), you won't regret it later on.

    Get a better PSU if possible, it's one of the most important parts in your system.

    From what I can see so far, as long as you are interested in the price for performance of the mid-end chips, AMD's got the conroes beaten across the board. That might change as Intel releases more chips, however.

    you might want to try another graphics card too, x850xts dont have shader model 3.

    Get an NVIDIA 6800 Ultra or GT. (SM 3.0 is on both cards).
    The power supply is your own risk...if it dies and takes your computer with it, it is your own fault.
    And I am not so sure on Samsung hard drives, I would personally for a Seagate hdd.
