    Oh, come on! No "Persecution"?
damn Mainstream Russian Media. If it were Faux News, they would have persecution, refugees and socialism tucked in. The funny thing is, for the average Faux News viewer, this wouldnn't make much sense: Liberal French Actor flees persecution in socialist state and finds it in communist Russia under Tzar Putin I. They would need Glenn Beck to explain it to them.

ok I'd probably be called a liberal but... what on earth does the US or Fox news have to do with this topic?

I'm accenting the fact that the pro-Putin media in Russia is so behind US standards... No Breaking NEWS, no reporters on the ground watching closely as the french actor receives his passport, no exclusive interview on how he feels seconds afterwards. Definitely lots of room for improvement.

    Political refugees!

Or, one guy who wants to dodge taxes. Crappy thread titles that have no relevance to real events or people is quite the trend on TWC these days. I thought there was a rule in the ToS about that.

The irony of socialists accusing someone of betraying the concept of nation, which is exactly what they always stand against. How ing hypocritical and ironic at the same time.
Not to mention the fact that someone is fleeing to Russia to escape socialism.. lolololol.

Edit (after I read the article : P):

It surprised me Russia has a flat income tax of only 13%. I knew it's a capitalist mess after the fall of communism, but still ... a flat income tax rate... I think this Depardieu shows what liberals care about: money, money, and more money!

Or in other words, let the peasants get the country out of its mess and return afterwards...
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."
