Having a fair amount of problems trying to install TGW...

Hello all,

So, the installation instructions were a little vague, but I believe I've followed them to the letter. And before we start, yes I have a legitimate copy of Napoleon.

So, I downloaded all three files: 4.5, 4.6, and 4.6.1. I installed 4.5 first on the desktop like it said, then 4.6. When I tried to install 4.6, it said that 3/3 files could not be downloaded. And when I tried extracting 4.6.1, it told me the archive was missing.

The weird part is I downloaded it three different times, sometimes my computer likes to stop halfway through a download and act like nothing happened. Each time, it fully downloaded, yet each time it said archive missing.

Also, 4.6 didn't seem to have any problems when I installed it first(a mistake on my part), but as soon as 4.5 was installed, it refused to work.

I run Windows 7, and all my parts are more than capable of handling this. I believe it's a file issue, but then again, I've never played around with files at all, so these are just guesses.

Any ideas? This looks like an awesome mod, I'm really excited to try it!

4.6.1 is the key to installation since some content of 4.5 is incompatible with the latest patches (4.6.1 amends that). It might be that the download has been corrupted (the file is broken). Maybe try another mirror? Alternatively, wait for 5.0.

best thing to do is copy em over manually, i had your exact same problem, use the installer for the 4.5, then extact 4.6 onto your desktop and copy into your source mods nap folder, and do the same for the patch, if you need more exact way, i can post later but im going to work atm, it was the only way i could get this to work since the update to CA

I had that same issue with the Mediafire files. For some reason the download corrupts and shows and complete (but in reality it is incomplete). Filefront's files downloaded fine the first time and the game works. I'd say to use Filefront and try again.
