Picard's belief is that of the sincere agnostic. These are my own conclusions - the complexity and ineffability of the universe means that the explanation behind it all is ungraspable - and you should simply relax and assume that the only one true faith is that everything will be alright.

there is a book by voltaire called cadidate that deals with the subject ( of whether things will be alright or not). Even if universal understanding is unreachable ( which I dont belive), we still have the power to change out curcumstances, which means that lying down and taking it is an illogical thing to do.
