    Default Middle-Earth Theme Park

Just read an article about Universal and WB talking about a Middle-Earth Theme Park with The Tolkien Estate.

    English Link:

    Dutch link:

As WarnerBros is involved I'm curious about the lore accuracy of it...

EDIT: +rep for the funniest attractions you can come up with

Why are you concerned about the lore-accuracy of it, Eönwë? Just saw the first Hobbit-movie, and I liked it's lore-accuracy. It was better than LotR. My only big concern was the beards of the Dwarves, especially Thorin's.

You can't really expect a theme park to be lore friendly .

Haha I know that, I'm disagreeing on the fact Bowmaster thinks The Hobbit is lore-accurate.

The first Hobbit movie was better than the LotR. Sure, Dwarves having almost no beard and Azog being there is pretty dump, but otherwise it was done better than LotR. Great Goblin, the Trolls, Bilbo having to run quickly to Thorin's company without a tissue, Eagles saving them... there was many things that were lore-accurate, you just didn't recognise them.

Of course, the only big things that really mattered was Azog and Thorin's stupid beard. There was some minor mistakes, like the Great Goblin looking that stupid (but atleast he was there), Thorin being reluctant to go into Rivendell, but I guess that did add some drama into it.

i have already thought of a ride! The Hurin ride. You sit in a stationary place, bound and watch everything go in the exact wrong way, all while Morgoth is standing by and laughing his Ainu rear end off.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

And of course, after closing time, the dark creatures of the world emerge from the bowels of the Earth and murder or enslave anyway unfortunate enough to remain behind.

Yeah, a rollercoster inside a dwarf mines we will be in a trolley trying on the rail to escape some orcs attack.

Hope they do it in UK or in France.

I would look for the Green Dragon directly at entry and leave the plastic decors I fear to the children ^^

This is an old idea. I remember reading about this many months ago. With that being said, I think it's a good idea if done right. Who wouldn't want to do this:

Some of the comments on that article are hilarious. Great ideas as well, like a Gandalf statue at the entrance of a ride stating that "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" after measuring your length to be too short.
