Aragorn's Quest - Did I miss something?

So, I'm playing Third Age Total War for the first time. I'm playing as Eriador. Aragorn has had various "quests" sending me back and forth between Bree and Imladris, then to Amon Sul (seeing as Gandalf was no where to be found - read: fighting in Tharbad, but according to the book, captured by Saruman). But afterwards, I get a message directing me to take Aragorn to the paths of the dead. What the hell? No Fellowship? No... well, nothing? It seems a bit premature.

So... did I miss something?

Furthermore, where else does this quest go?

I am almost positive that's part of a mod. I've never seen that before.

I'm quite sure that you are not playing the normal campaign.

The Fellowship campaign is not the main focus in this mod. If I were you, I'd just start a normal campaign.

My apologies. I forgot to mention I also installed the "MOS" submod. Very important and I forgot to mention it.

You didn't miss anything, that's about right. Take him to Dunharrow, in Rohan, for the next part of the quest. Also, I'd recommend getting an alliance with Rohan, just in case.

Its a subquest in MOS. Not in vanilla TATW. You have to go to Dunharrow in the pass south of Edoras in Rohan. But just be sure to make an alliance with military access otherwise they might be angry with you and attack you later on.... But yes, this subquest has absolutely nothing to do with accurate lore OR the Fellowship Campaign

I was awarded nothing except announcements. I went to Dunharrow (grabbed some Rohirrim mercs), was told to go to Erech. Went to Erech (grabbed some Gondor mercs). And... nothing. Even ended my turn in Erech. Got the announcement that the Army of the Dead had joined me (good news, seeing as Minas Tirith was about to fall). But no Army of the Dead appeared.

MOS adds a kind of roleplay thing into the campaign for Aragorn, so that's normal, right now i think you should take him to dunharrow.

take him to dunharrow and you get an ancillary.. next version which will be released soon, you get the actual army

Sweet, is it immortal until I release it?

I just remembered I could use that army to stop Gondor from being stomped over, awesome

yes in the next MOS version , you will have an army of the dead.. though it has a few ground rules..

- you get it in dunharrow.. and you can fight i believe 5 battles with it before they dissappear , so choose your battles well.. Also if aragorn dies, they will dissappear. If you don't like them having forfilled their oath, you can cheat a little by keeping the king of the dead out of the battles.. then you can use the other dead units for an unlimited period of time.. till aragorn is dead.

So, I ended up just recruiting a ton of mercenaries in Gondor to act as the "Army of Southern Gondor" and relieve Minas Tirith. The only Rohirrim at the Battle of Pelennor Fields were from my mercenary army. Despite carrying the day, Denethor died in battle when he rode onto a bunch of Orcish spears.

Now, ever since this point, battles in which Gondor asks for my assistance (and I check to accept) have taken place off screen. I don't know why. Furthermore... it appears Gondor lost Imrahil, Boromir, and Faramir before this battle. This is incredibly frustrating, because I thought the Immortal Heroes part of MoS would stop this.
