Game doesn´t start need help please !!!

Hello,

I downloaded yesterday Medieval II + Kingdoms from Steam. Now i tryed to play with the Stainless Steel Mod 6.4. So i download 6.3 and 6.4 an istall them like the Installation Guide. And now when i start the Game a short moment comes the Stainless Steel Screen and then it crashes and say : Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit. I search in any Forums to find a solution but eyery try doesn´t work like UAC and run as Admin. I have WIN 7. I hope anybody can help me

I get the same exact error as well and I might as well post in this thread for help. I also have steam + windows 7

I created a backup in C/games, installed the mod into that directory and it didn't work. I also tried editing the launch for Kingdoms in steam like specified in the thread but I still get errors. I either get a unspecified error which Kingdoms goes cloak on my laptop or it doesn't open..

Anyhelp? This is for 6.3 of course..

if so post here again and i'll try to help, i don't have steam so its gonna be trial and error so be patient we me.

did you got the stainless steel submod install wizard before starting medieval / at the end of your install? if you don't use that one i believe you get a chrash.. if you did not.. you can find it in your medieval folder .. i believe setup.exe

just glad to see someone in tech support...i got real life stuff alot lately (read last year) and poor joe (navajo joe) gets sooooo much to take care of poor guy
