    Default GPU noise

Recently, I got a new rig, here it is:

    -Intel i5-3450 3.1GHz
-Gigabyte Nvidia 560 GTX OC (GV-N56GOC-1G)
    -Motherboard Asus P8B75M
    -RAM 4x4GB Kingston Hyper X
    -Monitor Acer x223w 1680 x 1050 22 inches
    -Case Thermaltake VN400A1W2N
    -PSU Coolmaster RS-500-PCAR-A3 500 watts
-OS Windows 7 Professional 64 bits

Before, I had a nvidia 9400GT, I was playing on the lowest settings with BYG turned off and everything optimized for performance. It barely made any noise but know with my new Gigabyte 560 GTX, it's making a lot of noise (not only on this game...) and I am playing on medium settings with BYG turned off again. And that's my second card too because my on my first one, one fan didn't work.

So just wanted to know if thats normal or is the problem related to my GPU? It only makes a lot of noise when I am doing a battle (lets say, 50-60 decibels and when on campaign map, 30 decibels).

download speedfan and see what percentage your gpu fans are running at. If its at 80 plus percent no worries you just might have a loud card at capacity if its at like 40 percent and its that loud run some gpu stress tests or take it to a computer store and have it tested. Usually though stainless steel is more processor heavy than gpu heavy, try making sure you have stainless steel set to use your graphics card in the nvidia gpu software and not the onboard i5 card.

    Sorry for late reply!

Any idea how I can know that SS uses my GPU instead of my onboard i5 card?

Ok I think I found it, Manage 3D settings then go to program settings? Theres a list of programs (and games but medieval 2 not in there) in there but I am afraid of messing things up. Here's a picture:
