You can't ''win'' a campaign on RTR, thoughThe regions you have to capture have only been set to guide the expansion of the AI factions who will try to conquer them. For you as a player, the campaign is over as soon as you think it has finished and you have achieved something.

Oh ok thanks for this information I liked it that way where you take so many towns destroy a certain faction and then you complete the campaign I prefer it like that then it doesn't go on forever plus how come wooden walls are like palisades not a large wooden wall where you can have soldiers on top of it like it was in the old patch?
These walls were bugged. Even RS2's dvk901 couldn't get them working, which is why we decided to revert to the pallisades.

Oh ok thanks I didn't know they were bugged do all barbarian tribes get palisade like walls or do some get walls like a stone wall I think the arverni,aedui, and norici did and the getae be good if the arverni,aedui and norici had some different units and how come Dacian falxmen can't go berserk like they did before?
It would also be good if we did have victory conditions like in vanilla I prefer it that way or is there anyway I can make it like that? I have captured at least 15 or maybe 18 regions as the cimbri tribe and I'm trying to defeat the arverni and norici tribe and I'm fighting barbarian tribes to and it would be great if a victory trailer appeared on screen.
I think I'm gonna try another faction now maybe Lusitiani tribe
You can actually before a start of any campaign edit on your own the descr_victory_condition.txt which you on define on your own which region you would like to hold for your on victory video. The way it was done in RTR VII was for the AI and not the player. To make different for player and AI will need 18 (or 19 ?-20?) different set of files to be created which need to be be change every time on start a new campaign with different faction. It's doable but I don't think whoever still in the team will do it since winning condition is subjective and will probably cause further disagreements etc between users anyway.

I've never really understood the point of such victory conditions for the player. Surely the player knows when the campaign is won and he wants to stop?

Samuel Pidgeon - Re: cav units being so small, not sure if you're speaking relatively or overall, but I was advised to increase overall game unit scale to Huge, and have to say that increased the quality of play in that respect.
They have. The barbarian third tier walls had been retextured too and that ha been saved by him. It wasn't possible to do so for the second tier. Either way, the wall issues are gone now![]()
