    This is it, but you have to manually set it for all factions, and I never tried it by myself so I don't know how stable it is.

    Hey guys
    I'm new to medieval 2 and I have a question about unlocking all playable factions. I know you can do this by changing the programme of the game in the descr_strat file, but I want to do it the long way jut for the giggles. I also know if I complete the short campaign I'll unlock it. My question is, if i complete the short campaign ON EASY, will this unlock all the factions?

    Also I'm very interested in doing a hotseat campaign, just one question, can you do battles in them? or do you have to automatically resolve everything? (including rebel battles)?

    You can fight all battles, but generally "human vs. human" battles are auto-resolved. It depends what the players agree on.

    On any mod what files do I need to edit if I want to change 1. Name of one of the factions 2. Starting king and heir 3.its banners and 4. Just the name of the soldiers units not the look

    go you your mods folder

    open its CFG file
    under the video section of the CFG file look for
    Code:
    widescreen = false
    change it to
    Code:
    widescreen = true
    OR look for
    Code:
    widescreen = 0
    change it to
    Code:
    widescreen = 1
    IIRC that should do it
