Cant install gold edition

An earlier version of Rome Total War
has been detected.Please uninstall this before installing Rome Total War Gold Edition..

any help on this i have deleted the old rome folder as i had problems with it when trying to play some mods so i got rid of it and wanted to put gold edtion on wont let me.

I am using windows 7 and if i have to try cleaning my registry i may need help on doing that incase it gets rid of the shogun 2 files and medieval 2 and kingdoms files as well as empire total war

i cant ind the creative assembly folder when i click on HKEY_ LOCAL MACHINE shall i use the current user one? there is two different folders i do play shogun and empire still i dont want to cock this up

i managed to delete on registry file and it still didnt work

Search for activision, rome, barbarian, and anything else associated with the game.
64bit, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...4#post12353194 may come in handy.
Be sure to search the setup.ini files in the installshield\uninstaller folder, too.

im not using steam im using normal gold edition version

i dont know where else to look or what else i can do i did unistall mods but im sure they have all thier files deleted

Have you tried running a good, free registry cleaner?

yes wise cleaner was one ccleaner and another one cant remember its name still get this error message

Did you unhide all files, folders, adn drives and go through the Installshield\uninstaller folder manually?
Have you also searched Documents and Settings manually?

solved the problem i reinstalled the old activision version then BI and unistalled both of them and deleted its registry and i have sucessfully installed gold edition thanks for your help
