Why did the Stewards marry so late? Denethor was in his 50's when he had Faramir, and his late 40's when he sired Boromir. Boromir died at age 41 unmarried. Faramir marries after the war. Do the Gondorian elite grow up a lot slower, or is this just a logical mistake Tolkien made? You would think a Steward would want to have legitimate sons as soon as possible.
Tolkien noted this in App A:
"Though war never ceased on their borders, for more than a thousand years the Dúnedain of the South grew in wealth and power by land and sea, until the reign of Atanatar II, who was called Alcarin, the Glorious. Yet the signs of decay had then already appeared; for the high men of the South married late, and their children were few. The first childless king was Falastur, and the second Narmacil I, the son of Atanatar Alcarin."
So, not a mistake.
New book of unpublished writings by Tolkien coming in 2021! https://www.tolkienguide.com/modules...?post_id=25290
Does the Tolkien society discern the computer games? I see the awards for artwork, articles or websites, but no mention of movies or games?

If you want to play a historical mod in the medieval setting the best are:
Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project and Broken Crescent.
Recently, Tsardoms and TGC look also very good. Read my opinions on the other mods here.

Reviews of the mods (all made in 2018): SSHIP, Wrath of the Norsemen, Broken Crescent.
Follow home rules for playing a game without exploiting the M2TW engine deficiencies.
Hints for Medieval 2 moders: forts, merchants, AT-NGB bug, trade fleets.
Thrones of Britannia: review, opinion on the battles, ideas for modding. Shieldwall is promising!
Dominant strategy in Rome2, Attila, ToB and Troy: “Sniping groups of armies”. Still there, alas!
It doesn't look like it unfortunately

You should search for the Battle of Evermore, also from Led Zeppelin
Queen of Light took her bow
And then she turned to go,
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom
And walked the night alone.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the morning light.
The dark Lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all.
Oh, throw down your plow and hoe,
Rest not to lock your homes.
Side by side we wait the might
Of the darkest of them all.
I hear the horses' thunder
Down in the valley blow,
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon,
Waiting for the eastern glow.
The apples of the valley hold,
The seas of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care,
Repay, do not forget, no, no.
Oh, dance in the dark of night,
Sing to the morning light.
The apples turn to brown and black, the tyrant's face is red.
Oh the war is common cry, pick up you swords…
And also "Misty Mountain Hop" from Led Zeppelin
I already checked the date and it was indeed not April the 1st.
The Lord of the Rings franchise is getting a new anime feature:
It will tell the story of Helm Hammerhand.

Better news than trying to sell the LotR trilogy for the Xth time. I'd have liked live action better but I hope it will be high quality animation at least.
I'm lowkey hyped for this - I think the style might suit it better than some live action halfway-cash grab. And we'll be getting some live action Tolkien soon enough, so I'm pretty positive towards this!

Salacious, bawdy and risque Hentai Rohirrim lady outfits revealing naughty ankles and wrists INCOMING!!!!!!
I'd watch it, not gonna lie. That's saying a lot for me too, since I watched the Mandalorian one time through but would never watch the Star Wars animated stuff. Seems too cheesy. Someone should make a meme about me being a hypocrite in regards to that and LOTR anime.
Amazon feeds us the first image from the show!
On September 2, 2022, a new journey begins.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Is looking very good (though I never doubted it would look bad with such a budget). I am fearful of how they are going to deal with the content though. Let's wait and see I suppose
I'm thinking why drop an image from the First Age? It looks like a big deal of attention investment into the First Age. Could it be for more than just a prologue or flashback? Perhaps even the reported two-part pilot is entirely set in the First Age?
It would be great to see some background info from the First Age (I love the First Age). It could give the story backbone to base itself on. I would totally support a two part pilot set in the First Age to see some First Age Sauron and Sons of Fëanor, etc. etc.

Apparently the rights to make movies and video games based on the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings are being sold by Zaentz Co. for at least $2 billion: https://variety.com/2022/film/news/l...le-1235176036/
I doubt WB / New Line will try to get them because they are currently going through a merger with Discovery.
First concept art has been released from War of the Rohirrim:
