Between January and July 2012, PA security agencies detained 572 people and sent summonses to 770 more.

While I understand that the NHS trained your bum to deal with waiting periods(by sitting in a chair), it is not laughing matter to be summoned many times per month to essentially lose work days and be subjected to interrogation.

It is not only damaging to whatever employment you have but it is borderline intimidation.

Well perhaps if the people were allowed to run their own (Sovereign) country, raise taxes, trade, import stuff and elect their leaders in fair elections, without risk of any of them being killed for making what some may consider the wrong decision, more people might take note of the thread. There are reasons why the West Bank is effectively a police state are there not?

Are you seriously suggesting that Israel has no control over taxes collected or what goods can be imported into Palestine? Your own source says that Israel has a hand in raising some taxes, 2/3s it seems.. I understand that some Turks died, because they were bringing goods into the place.

We never did take to bombing Sinn Fein during the Troubles or shelling Catholic Parts of Belfast. Reasonable, civilized and correct, so it seems.

We don't know antyhing for sure about human rights in Israel and occupied territories, since israeli officials banned United Nations Human Rights Council from entering to Israel and occupied territories. Very likely mossad agents could done it and left bodies in West Bank. Or even whole story is just imagination of Israeli propaganda.

I think its meaby harsh to say but If around 13,271 are detained, and 96% of these people are tortured, but just 6 of them died is not that much to be honest. I expect the same rate in many other prisons in America and its even worse in other Arabian countries. Besides, I'm not sure what discussion you are trying to start with your opening post.

It also said the PA was guilty of torture and degrading treatment, with 18.7 percent of a sample of 300 former detainees stating that they experienced “severe torture” and 99.7% claiming that they were exposed to degrading treatment.

Seems fair to me, but still degrading treatment is always what happen in prisons. Thats why you are in a prison.

In the meantime, Israeli "doctors" fail to document and report injuries caused by the ill-treatment and torture of detainees by security personnel in violation of their ethical code says 2 Israeli human rights organization. Israeli high court has ruled that physical means of interrogation could be defensible to save lives. This means torture is legal in your country !
