Visual problems on Macbook Pro!
Hi,
I have the early 2011 13-inch Macbook Pro with an Intel HD 3000 graphics card and have ALMOST got to the point of running Medieval 2 Total War. I have a Steam version of the game, and am using a Windows version of Steam though Crossover to play it. I have also got rid of the launcher problem by renaming the medieval2.exe file (actually, it works for Kingdoms too).
The game will run, and the audio will start - but the graphics are terrible. Although I can see the hourglass at the start, all other graphics have been reduced to big blocks of very basic colours. I have no idea how to proceed from here. I know it isn't a memory allocation issue, as I have Lion (has dynamic memory allocation). I don't think it's a resolution issue, as I have tried mucking about with that in the .cfg file.
I know about Bootcamp, but I'd rather not go through another rigmarole. Please, any other ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Visual problems on Macbook Pro!
The biggest problem is Dedicated Memory of which CA's posted specs when the game was released was 128mb and it looks crappy untl at least 256mb of Dedicated Memory and a dedicated graphics card.
There is another member using Crossover but I'd say a majority of the successful ones are Bootcamp.
