    Default Is this possible?

I wondered if any of you genius types have discovered (or even tried) to get rid of the rebels?

Or would that even be possible? I hate the tedious process of getting rid of these guys when the province has the upgrades it can have-I could understand it if you were taxing them and letting them rot. Anyway, anyone out there know?

Well in 1.3/1.54/1.5/1.6 there is an option in descr_strat.txt called brigand_spawn_value which is set to 10 by default. The higher the value the less rebels that appear. That is the only way i know of making rebels appear less, as far as i am aware there is no way to stop them appearing completely.

Well, I was sure I had responded to your timely response, but when I came back, it wasn't there, so I'll do it again. I wanted to say thanks for the quick feedback. Unluckily for me, I usually play a 1.2 version, and you were absolutely correct in not including that version because even though I looked, I could not find that line in there. When I looked in my regular updated version of vanilla, it was right there in the beginning.

So if I ever play that again, I will see a difference, I'm suspecting. Thanks again!
