7 year old vs Vanilla Battle AI

OK - here was a little test I was doing -
In custom battles in Vanilla RTW Medium.

I let my 7 year old choose the factions for both of us and how much
money to use for each army.
We picked the units for the army in private from one another.
I picked for the AI army.
Out of 6 battles, he won four of them and the two he lost were close.
Use of the cataphracts and elephants were the main causes of those AI wins.
I think if he had same forces , he would have beat the AI then too.

Thought it was interesting and would share.

EDIT - His wins were close too. Nothing Heroic.
His tactics were poor and pretty much non-existent.
He did things that made me cringe, but i just said nothing to assist.
I didnt mean to offend anyone , just thought it was amusing.

Well it isnt hard to beat the AI anytime, at least with strategy. On Very Hard battle difficulty the AI gets outrageous battle bonuses which are not very realistic, and sometimes not very fun.

Wow, thats...interesting, my 10 year old sister probably couldn't beat the AI on easy. =)

If the AI could realize when it was getting flanked and then do something about it the game would instantly one hundred times more difficult.

thats the funny thing -- he didnt flank at all.

just like my son -the battle AI sent it stupid troops all over the place and de-consolidated its forces.

if the battle AI had kept it troops relatively close to each other like you or i would
his troops would have been slaughtered.

tzif - just for the heck of it, try something similar with your sister and see what
comes happens.

EDIT: i have got a german campaign going and the AI is tries its best to flank my spearmen.
the Gaul AI will also send troops to attack my calvary when i try to flank with calvary.
