Game won't launch
When I try to start RSII, it won't launch. I get the "Failed To Initialize 3D Audio". I've had this problem before with vanilla Rome and all I did was reinstall and It was fine. My copy of vanilla Rome which is in program files still works, but I installed RSII in a separate folder right in the hard drive something like "C://RSII". I use windows xp, my version of RTW is 1.5 and I don't use steam. I've tried all faction or battles only launches and none work. I just need any suggestions to make it work, I just really want to play!!

Make sure you have all the latest drivers installed.

And I hate to be the guy, but how do I do this?
Nevermind I'm working on it
And now I've done it, but still not working. Same error message. The driver downloaded even had audio in the title!

Re: Game won't launch
Hm. Weird. Try a clean install, if that doesn't work then I don't know. Hopefully someone else can help.

Re: Game won't launch
Do you have a Miles folder in your game folder (where the exes are)?
Do you have a mss32.dll file in your game folder?
These are vanilla files and can't be uploaded if you've not got them. If you don't have them then there is something wrong with your R:TW install - which is why we suggest installing RSII over a 'working copy of R:TW'.

Re: Game won't launch
In the version I copied it from (Vanilla Version) the folder mss32.dll was absent, and so I'm assuming that is why it's not in RSII and that is the problem. But what bothers me is that version still works. I'm not sure if that's relevant (It just seems odd) and do I need to reinstall RTW, check for the file and if there reinstall RSII?
