    Icon8 HELP! Steam not allowing me to install shogun 2

    yesterday i got shogun 2 for christmas it was a retail copy with 2 disks, anyway i popped it into my PC and clicked install it logged into steam and then started downloading shogun 2 instead of using the disk. My internet is and i dont want to wait a week.

    i have already tried "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -install E: in run and it didnt work so please help.

    If your retail copy is the original Shogun 2 you'll need to download around 10-15 GB worth of patches still.

    Can you post the screen of the files from the DVD ? I don't have DVD-ROM on my pc anymore so I can't check mine. Just to see if some other worksaround can be done manually.

    You get retail disc, you will be forced to download 25 GB of patch into the game first

    Then relax, sleep well, eat well, rest well and come back later lol

    However, if you forced to bypass the Steam [which I don't know how to and I don't try to] you will see the game was missing alot content inside compared to others who download 25 GB of patch before lol
    Its easy to make war with others, its never been easy when we need a peace.
