It seems as though lately there has been far too much deliberation surrounding names of ranks, forums, and the themes of these names, be it medieval, Byzantine, Roman, etc...

My point is, it seems that more and more time is being spent on legislation and discussion about names, and less focus on the real issues and needs of the forum. I suggest we set a theme, a set of rank names, and somehow set a term for its' use, such as 8 months. I think without the temptation to constantly be "updating" the theme of TWC, which is at its' heart "Roman" we could address more issues.

I think the problem at the heart of the issue is of responsibility. Nobody is quite sure whether it is in the Curia's hands to decide a new theme and layout or that of ON; I suspect the latter is true. And besides, where would the Curia be without the endless bureaucracy which accompanies it?

I think (although somebody will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong) that ON well just set us a new theme from on high to go with MTW:II and until then, all discussions of rank titles and such are not going to reach a definite conclusion.

It's possible, but I don't think that's actually happening. Even if it is, someone needs to take the initiative here, with M2TW so close, and no one is.
