    Default map regions color shades...?

if im making a new campaign map, when i color it some of the pixels in border regions turn out as different shades of the territory's color. if i dont go by, pixel by pixel searching for discolored ones, will it cause the game to crash or go wrong? do the discolored pixels still count in the territory that theyre surrouned by??

    thanks.

A region needs to be alll the same colour, so yes it will cause the game to mess up. Make sure you are using the right tool when colouring the provinces.

well, when i make a map i found it easier to recolor a real map that i find online because its more accurate, but when i color it it doesnt change all the pixels i want to that color, some change to different shades. what can i do to change that?

Well you could select the area you want to make a certain province, delete the contents of that area, fill it with the colour you want a province to be. Or alternatively do the provinces on a different layer to the actual map so you won't have the problem.

    Hi,

You should try large squares side by side, start with two squares side by side and make it a region then test it on the game itself.

Don't colour it like a normal paintbrush tends to do, so that each colour you put down won't overlap a previous one you entered on.

It's something I just learnt, for some reason when I paint it quickly it will not work, it seems to need to be tiled, it's slow I know but hey it worked the second time around.

I'm currently working on India, need to get to Japan wish me luck !

    Hi Map Makers,

If you have Trivium Map Editor I find this style works best, Change size of Map/then test it on the game you should have loads of sea where you need it.

Next, go back onto Map Editor/ raise the sea bed with Height Ajust/then paste square by square the type of land you need eg/Mountains, beach,.

Don't put the regions on yet, just test the map on the game and then return back to map editor to enter in a region.
