I have always liked the military clothing of Prussia, looking great sir! Really impressive.
That mirlton certainly looks a little strangeit lacks a flame.
Would you like me to whip one up for you? I got my hands on a computer screen so I can finally do all the modelling I want![]()
Those hussars also lack the characteristic hairstyle and moustache that they sported. Any chance of seeing them featured?
Towarczys-Regiment, Regiment Towarzyszy was prussian cavalry unit recruited from polish population (impoverished gentry, former polish soldiers, etc). They used uniform similar to National Cavalry(Kawaleria Narodowa): polish coat.

After campaign of 1807 unit was disbanded - many soldiers joined to cavalry of Duchy of Warsaw.
I think that you should change color of pants.

I don't know. It's mean we need deep analyzes. Maybe they used blue pants in autumn-winter season and white during spring and summer (like infantry of Duchy of Warsaw) but this hypothesis is weak.
I think that you can choose own interpretation becuase that unit wasn't very disciplined so they could use non-regulatory part of uniforms especially during campaign in 1807. I have polish book about Spring Campaign in 1807 where is a chapter about polish soldiers in foreign service (Russia, Prussia) and there are few pages about that unit. Author didn't descibe color of pants![]()
Well wangrin is a much more capable 3D artist than myself, so it will definitely be best if we use his model
I'll just convert it from ETW format, do the vertex weights, and move the UVmap around a bit to fit the single piece, then I can send it to you, Steph.
Big thanks to wangrin
EDIT: Steph; would you like wangrin's 1st, 2nd or 3rd variant of the mirlton? We could always have multiple meshes, just for a bit of variation in the unit (surely not every individual in the unit would wear his flame in the same way). I'm assuming all the variations would use the same UVmap and texture, so we need not sacrifice any performance or space for this.

hi steph, i looking forward to this mod but like your mod suppose to be as much as accurate as possible would you look at the hat's of the hussars this issue seems comming back (not only your mod). i saw some pictures and there was a visor at the back of the hussars hat. this should'nt be a big deal to fix i hope ? Greetz
Ok here is the mirlton,
I've made 3 attachments; 1 is just an image of the mirlton, 2nd is the UVmap, 3rd is the UV areas (for ease of texturing).
I modified wangrins model a little bit, just so that it looks closer to the vanilla style (which also took out about 300 vertices, use to have about 800 and now has 500, which mean a very slight performance pick up).
Just remember that the NTW engine mirrors everything, which is why I had to mirror my model, so it would appear correct in-game.
This is my (barely my own anyway) first ever 3D model that will offically be used in a mod
I can make a texture in the future.
Steph, I will send you a PM now with the mesh.
EDIT: Steph, if you can post some references of these Prussian hussars in their mirlton, that would be great, so I can start on the texture

No doubt; doing all that work by yourself would be tiring, and you would definitely get sick of it at times.
beautiful, outstanding...just wow, your talent is getting better day by day..."Garde-Jäger" are my favorites for now, "Garde-Füsiliere" and "Garde-Grenadiere" are my second, really can't wait for the prussians, thx steph
1808 grenadiers
New rolled blanket
And officer
The grenadier, musketeer, fusilier, etc will have different "regimental" colours to help differentiate them.
But if I make a specific officer torso for each colour, the atlas will be filled rather quickly. So I'll probably use a kind of generic officer (see the white collar, cuff and turnbacks while the grenadiers have red colours).
