I was working on an AMV and everything was going great when Sony Vegas started refusing to play what I had on the timeline! I'd hit play and it would stop at one frame with dots trailing behind like it was trying to load the next frame but crashes shortly afterwards.

I figured maybe a video I was using was corrupted so I started cutting clumps of video I thought might be the culprit and eventual found when I removed a sparkly effect that plays over all the video it started working again. I REALLY didn't want to simply do the video without it so I moved it away from the very start of the video (since it always froze after frame 1) and it started working again just moved slightly further away on the timeline!

My question is does it sound like that video is corrupted? Or is my 8 GB of RAM being overworked?
