I've had a very good and tough campaign indeed so far i've managed to conquer gaul with the julii, the britions half of germania, the spanish all of spain, the greeks have battered maceedonia into two provinces, thrace has byzantium, selcudids have all their land still and one of the parthian regions, the scipii have sciliy, the city of carthage and cirtia. also armenia have conquered into scythia with the dacians above cispilane gaul and all land above as far as the borders of scythia since they battered the thracians. the year is 219BC so far.

I had one battle when i had 1,200 men and the gauls had together 4,000 you could say they surronded my armies one both sides and i had no choice, but to keep manovuering my cavalry several times evading infantry attacking them and moving around with the barbarian cavalries chasing me at the sametime too it was bad and u could say a near run thing that battle was i almost lost or should of lost. and by the way this was the battle to capture patavium too. so i used my cavalry made the gaul infantry start to retreat one so i could use my tired troops to help the other romans taking hard casualities against the gauls on the otherside it was terrible. i had to end up using my cavalry to help at the end, but the field looked more bloodier than i have ever seen in RTW since SPQR or worst i suffered over 600 dead they suffered like 3958 it was bad, since if i had lost it they would of been open to capture my recently won mediolanium and have a bridgehead capture my main roman cities arretium, segesta and ariminium. so after i defeated them i launched a campaign into transpaline gaul and well fought hard battles against the gauls and the dacians attacks me so i had to recruit another army to hold them back, but in a few terms they sued for peace. ok once i finished the hard fought conquest of gaul the britions and the spainish have attacked me now with huge stacks narbous martius in under siege and so is ludgdum since it no defended well. the britions avoided alesia since they knew it was defended well and once i destoryed their army in belgia had their city another stack comes. just like the spainish with my famed general who crushed the gauls in italy i've beated 3 large spanish army, but another stack comes again and attack they're just as bad as the gauls. oh the yes the brutii are pretty weak at the moment they just can't beat the greeks or macedonians.

In what difficulty do you play? Can you post a screenshot of your empire?
I like that Brutii cannot defeat the greeks early..it was intented...they will eventually when they get the Marius reforms....what a pitty.
