    Default 1 thing about vassals

I know this has probably been asked about vassals if there's like a thread that i can peruse over then that would be great.
when you make a faction your vassal do you automatically get half their income? or do you have to demand tribute from them??? or is it anything like I have said?

I believe you only get income if the vassal's total treasury is above a certain threshold. I don't quite remember what it is, though.

If the vassal does meet that threshold value, the money transfer is automatic.

oh so if their treasury is above 10000 florins or something I'd get some florins from them

I think it's higher than that, but not sure. If you want, try giving your vassal some provinces and see if they start returning the favor.

However, vassals aren't profitable in vanilla because these AI factions have generally low king's purses even on VH difficulty.

A vassal will only give you 1/2 of their income if they have a positive income after the transaction.

Say Poland was gaining 10000 a turn and they currently have about 18k, you will get 9k and they will still be in the positive area and gain 1k after the round.

At least I believe that's how it works.
