How excited are you??

So my fellow TWC users, after many threads about what people want in the game, what shouldn't be in the game and people boycotting ect, I decided to bring something different.

On a scale of 6 how excited are you with the up coming Rome 2 Total War.

Personally I am at a 6. I think the poll will explain for its self.

If you can play S2TW relatively well, then you will be fine with R2TW, as CA said, they are keeping the same low specs from S2TW to R2TW.

Mine can only run S2TW on medium and low settings, and because RTW2 will be released next year, that mean i maybe will set the graphic to the lowest setting. And I'm against low setting in any Total war games (except grass, it's ok to have low quality grass).

by the way, Wumbologist, use this website http://www.game-debate.com/, place in your computer specs, search for Rome 2 total war and check to see what performance you will get, on a scale of Gold being High setting, Green= medium, grey= Low, Red cross is your motherboard being fried

I would have to say six. Though I am a bit worried my laptop won't be able to handle (but I can play Napoleon on low and some medium settings, with no lag).

This summer I thought: "To hell With it, I won't concern myself with a game more than a year before it's launch! Besides, high hopes for games always bums me out on release when reality kicks in with bugs 'n stuff"...

Now I check the forum daily and hopes for a Greek option with a Spartan inner faction to make helots of the rest of the world... yeah, my hopes are high indeed for this one, a clear 6. My Christmas sock pales in comparison.

But trying not to get too excited as I was slightly let down by Shogun, the game was essentially very good, just hated the lack of variety in the units and factions, although that's more down to geography and timeframe rather than any lack of effort on CA's part. This game looks so damn awesome its hard not to get hyped up about it. I just hope the 8 factions they have get a good level of depth, and have varied playstyles, differing for Hellenistic, Barbarian, Carthaginian and Roman.

Yay ..I'm the first to poll "I am deciding whether to get it or not".

To be honest, I hold hope and fear in equal measure atm.

• Hope that CA will depict factions (especially the so-called "barbarian" factions) in greater historical depth and immersion.
• Fear that expedience and past precedent with circumvent the above hope.

If fears are realised, I'd be too exasperated to even pick the thing up (having waited for this since hearing of RTW I in early 2003 and not likely to see its return for several more years). But that's just me / I can appreciate almost everyone else will not share that sentiment.
