    Default general's hitpoints

    I just have a couple of questions regarding generals hitpopints
    1) Do they regenerate?? like if you dis-engage a unit will they "come back"
    2) Any specific things you can do to get more HP??
    3) How do you know when he's losing HP

    I think thats about it

    1. no. Only between battles - not during battles.

    2. by earning / gaining extra traits & ancilliaries - such as Fierce in Battle etc.

    3. In vanilla M2TW doesn't the character change to a blood red color? It is at that point they have lost a hit point or 2. With some of the blood mods out there the General will get "bloodier" each time they lose a hit point. until they die.

    1. As far as I know, you cannot regenerate HP during a battle.
    2. If you have at least 5 command, simply garrisoning him for a few turns in a settlement with an Armourer will give him a nice HP boost. If the general has less than 5 command, he will need to be around the settlement when the Armourer is finished constructing in order to get the HP boost. Also, keeping your general in the fighting during a battle can give him the Battle Scarred trait, which can give up to 8 HP and 2 Authority.
    3. When he's bloody, you absolutely want to get him away from fighting. That means he's very close to dying.

    How much HP left does bloody actually indicate? It seems that for war elephants, bloody only indicates about a 25% HP loss, so after bloody, the elephant still has a long way to go before going down.

    @Aeratus
    With a general, itīs generally preferable to take the safe route, and not needlessly risk him when heīs bloody.
    Itīs true that being bloody does only indicate something akin to 25-50% loss of his hitpoints (not sure which), but it definitely means that his end is closing in and that it might be best to get him out of battle - once he gets bloody, any fighting situation after that is pushing his luck.

    Well, the maximum hardcoded HP is 15. Not sure whether or not that applies to special units like captains, officers, and generals.

    I doubt it about these two; captains seem to have the strength of a regular unit but with a fancy suit of armour on. Could be wrong though, but they never perform brilliantly in battle.

    Captains and generals have the same stats as the unit they are commanding, but just more HPs.
