Hi, i'm new in the forums but barely new in the TW games. Thing is i decided to start again playing Medieval 2. But when i try to install the 1.2 patch it freezes when installing the data_1.pack file. I read that a guy waited like 6 hours for it to complete the installation.
And a second question out of topic, wich patch do i need to have to install SS6.4? Thanks!!!!

It can take a long time to install tose packs.

Two things affect it big time. Cpu speed, the faster the better, and free disc space, the more the better.

There is more than 900gB free in the HDD and my CPU has plenty of speed. What botters me is that i patched it before the last year and didn't take so long.

When was the last time you did a deep defrag and optimize?
Did you download it or running it off the Kingdoms disc?

actually this is a fresh new pc with Vista x64 SP2 and i'm installing the patch separately

Ok the solution was way too simple. Just needed to change the installation path to the main HDD because i was installing M2TW in another disc. Everything is ok now.
