withking disappears

in my campaign as high elves i could not find witchking at all so when i started a new campaign i teleported elrond to barad-dur to ask him some questions.seeing as how i was seiging him he thought it would be funny to fly off on his fell beast to evade me and disappear again im not sure if he is meant to vanish but he just disappears no matter what. i even left him there and he still disappeared, i also had follow ai movement so if he was just travelling i'd find him but no! all that emerges from barad dur is some pesky orc units. any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

forgot to mention im playing 3.1 + baron samedis sumb mod if that helps, and please dont blame the sumbmod as ive had no problems up until now with it

Baron's submod can be buggy. There could be many different things going on. You'll have to see if someone can help you in Baron's submod thread. This forum is meant for help with vanilla TATW.

sorry for bothering you again but i deleted third age and reinstalled it all again excluding any mods but still during the 1st turn the witchking disappears!

Are you sure you're playing with a clean vanilla install without any submods? I just tried to load your save game, but it wouldn't load. Are playing with 3.1 or 3.2?

You should upload savegame as StealthFox said, do it like this:

Go to your saves folder in Third_Age_3 folder, if you have WinRar or WinZip program, make your savegame file as one of these two formats (.rar or .zip) and instead Quick Post, you go to Go Advanced, press this button and upload your savegame.rar or .zip file directly from your PC\laptop to your post as an attachment so someone can test this issue of yours.

What version are you playing, TATW 3.2 with some submod or just TATW 3.2?

sorry for late reply, busy with exams: fresh install redownloaded medieval and kingdoms and all of tatw and the problem still happens, heres the save , its the 1st turn and ive put elrond at barad dur so you only nee to advance turn. thanks in advance

It still doesn't load for me. Are you using Windows 7/8 or Vista? If so disable UAC (see here) and clear the virtual store of any TATW related files. You can back up your save games if there are any there you want to save. Also, what version of Kingdoms are you running? That could also be a reason (maybe) that I can't upload it. Update to Kingdoms 1.5. (see here) Just make sure you get the correct patch as they vary by region and Gold vs. Non-Gold.

im using windows 7 and have done all that the link said. i play on steam and my virtual store had no tatw related files, its updated to the most recent kingdoms update aswell. perhaps i have changed the save file to the wrong thing , or perhaps its the wrong rar file. ?

I just tried to test your savegames. none of them works, it just CTDs at the start of loading them.
Why have you ˝teleported˝ your unit to Barad Dur at turn 1? Maybe your ˝teleportation˝ change is messing up the whole campaign?

Is this your only issue, can`t get WitchKing anywhere? Have you fought with him in any battle so far without teleporting your units?
