Imrahil Turns Traitor

I was playing as Gondor, about turn 30 in the campaign and just killed a bunch of Harad with Imrahil and an army. I sent some troops back to resupply and left Imrahil and 4 full troops behind. Suddenly a Harad diplomat comes up and turns him traitor? I still had Denethor and Imrahil's loyalty was very high. What the hell? This is horribly un lore like! How do I fix this (can't reload because I saved before a big battle on Mordor's turn)?

Er.... hmmmm maybe Harad is super rich

put him on million and he turn lol

or that diplomat have very high influence and trait that make them bribe easier...

The diplomat is not very influential. I'm playing just vanilla 3.2, I thought there was a money cap?

Something like that is very rare but obviously not impossible. There is a script that deducts money from the AI if they get too much (I believe if they get more than 25000), but it's not a cap, the AI can still get more than 25000 if they are making more income than what is being spent and what the script takes away.

Super lame dice. Honestly, on long-shot dice rolls like this there should be a warning. "Imrahil is acting suspiciously" or some such. If you move another general to supervise him within 1 turn, then he only gets a negative trait not full traitor. It's just wonky unbalanced game mechanics like nuclear disasters in Civ.

Isn't there a proper thread for this sort of stuff? And it is Haradrim not ''Harads" .

It's not a bug and I didn't find anything like it, so I don't think so.

I don't think you can do much about this as bribing is probably hardcoded.

I have a wizard in my Gondor realm known as Console, so when a pesky harad diplomat appears - Shazam!!!! The diplomat awakes and finds himself on a deserted island far off the coast of Umbar.

Yes, in HoME Tokien makes it pretty clear that the land of Belfalas and its line of socalled Princes were nothing but greedy, moneygrubbing merchants and traitors.
