    Default Priest Purity

Does Purity have any real effect on priests? I know what the other stuff does, Eligibility makes a priest more likely to be come Pope (I think) , Orthodoxy makes them less likely to become heretics and Violence increases the chance of a crusade (if they are pope) but I have no idea about Purity. And of course I know that piety increases conversion and the chance of denouncing heretics. All I know is that a pure priest can get the title "The Righteous" and an impure Priest can become "The Corrupt" but does this effect the game at all?

Purity: Also effects the priest's standing in the collage of Cardinals, but also affects the chance of surviving an inquest or becoming a heretic, although in smaller quantities.

From this source. It has everything about priests!

Thanks, Comrade, I've always wondered what exactly purity affected in game.
I've always been amused to see priests with a special 'choir boy', +1 piety, -2 purity

basically eligilibilty makes them more likely to become a cardinal this is the key as the vote for becoming a pope is decided by the amount of cardinals you do have in the college.

Violence increases religious unrest in other faction's terrritory soo it makes them more likely to revolt and it increases the chance of crusades

and as the other guy said it affects the inquest etc

You are wrong about Eligibility I think, I'm nearly certain it improves the chance of the priest becoming a Bishop or Cardinal, and once they become, it will increase the chance of being appointed as Preferati. Violence improves the chance of burning heathens and heretics, it has nothing to do with Crusades, Crusades you call with Papal Favour or they are random called by the Pope. That if I'm not wrong, but I did a little research in-game about it, studying it closely.
