I am making a new map for Alexander, cutting the south-east of mundus magnus. I followed a .org tutorial. Everything is in place, but whenever I click the campaign on the menu, it CTD's. What could be the cause?

I don't have alexander so I'm not sure this applies but does your game crash before or after you get to the faction screen?

I don't have alexander either but in RTW / BI normal culprit for CTD when you select campaign name in provincial campaign menu (if that's where you meant) is not having
campaign_name_regions_and_settlement_names.txt in the data/text folder
when you're trying to select a new campaign_name
(also if that file hasn't got all the regions from descr_regions.txt in it it will CTD).

Erm, you are not trying to place a RTW/BI map in Alexander are you? The files which compile to make the rwm are a little different and, though I've not tested it, would likely not work in Alexander.
You're going to need to give more information for anyone to help you out...
