I made this thread already, totally in agreement, they should remove firing arcs from horse archers, and all skirmishing units in general, its been broken since warscape.

I mean the colored area infront of units, not the arc of the arrows... since they are only infront of a unit.... it has everything to do with not firing behind them, we need to go back to how ranged units used to be, with just range and no silly limit to what way they can fire.

Currently, you can set 360 field of fire in battle_entities table, but there is no backwards shooting animation...
You want to them to be able to fire whilst running backwards? Surely you must mean that you want them to be able to fire backwards?

Here, in Warscape engine, there is db table battle_entities.
2 columns in it controls the firing arc a entity has. What I mean with firing arc is the longitudinal one, the transversal are projectile dependent rather than entity dependent.
One controls the firing arc the unit can shoot without the need to turn the formation, and the next contoos the degrees the unit can track enemy without have to be ordered to turn.
The problem is, CA do not make FIRE_BACKWARDS animation...There is fire mounted while moving animation, but no fire backwards while moving animations.
That means, even though the battle entity are assigned to be able to fire 360 degrees, the units must stop and pivot first.
IN SHORT: CA NEED TO MAKE FIRE_BACKWARDS_MOUNTED_WHILE_MOVING ANIMATIONS
Horse archer should get a 180 degree firing arc, 15 degrees to there draw hand and 165 to there bow hand.

I hope to god that the arrows aren't 'one hit, one kill' then, cause then all online battles will just be a spam of horse archers.

"Firing arc" was added because of gunpowder. You have to shoot guns forward only or else you will knock over your horse.
