Family tree gone

My Capetian family died out and an adopted general became a regent, he had 4 sons and when he died a new king (King Thomas) was crowned character details say that he is a founder of a royal dynasty.( i married to a foreign princes earlier, maybe thats why??)

on that turn, when this character became king, the family tree change to the one (pic posted above) the stupid thing is, that the character in the pic is genoese, but im playing as france. how can this be.

Is there a way to get my family tree back?

playing ss 6.4 early campaing turn 245. the change happened on turn approx. 220
