Default CTD (Unexpected Error) on Cuman Khanate's Turn

I have Win7, SS 6.4 Late Era, Kingdoms patched to the latest patch on Steam, and I have no submods. My error log says something about the hidden resource riga.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Unrecognised: 'riga' as a region resource class (or hidden resource)
23:39:12.561 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

I checked descr_region and saw that riga was listed as a hidden resource for the Riga province. I then checked at the top of EDB and didn't see the riga hidden resource listed there, so I thought that might be a problem with a discrepancy in hidden resources between descr_regions and EDB. So I added riga to the hidden resource list at the top of EDB, but then I ended up getting another CTD.

Edit: Oops, I meant unspecified error in the title. Not unexpected error.
Edit 2: Also, this is after hitting end turn on turn 34.

Default Re: CTD (Unexpected Error) on Cuman Khanate's Turn

So I think it was actually the Mongols and not the Cumans that were causing problems. I used the surrender_regions cheat on the Cumans to see if that would fix things and I still got the CTD. I reloaded and used it on the Mongols instead, and it worked. I think I'll just continue to play like this without the Mongols. Hopefully it doesn't bite me in the ass later.

I would still like to know why I got the CTD if anyone has any idea. Thanks.
