Only 8 can be chosen so who gets left out.

Amazons, because then I can create a hot female avatar with nice sexy armor.
Egypt wasn't here at this time, Ptolemaic Empire was.
Britain didn't existed, but Briton tribes did.
Spain didn't existed but Iberian and Celtiberian tribes did.
Persia didn't existed but Parthian and Media Atropatene did.
Berbers didn't have their own kingdom at this time, they were a part of Numidians.
I think that Sparta as I kingdom didn't existed and that it was part of some League(either Aetolian or Achean), Athens as well.
Gaul didn't existed but various Confederations of Gallic tribes did. The same can be said for Germans.
Rome 2 starts the same factional bull all over again... The modders will take care of it in the end.
where is Pontos?
edit: lol same avatar![]()
Yeah, but I got the polished one
- Been reading periskopio huh?
there isn't Carthage
I dearly hope that an independent (perhaps not immediately playable) Galatia is in this game.
I'm still keeping my hopes up for the Mauryans.![]()
Dont they get exterminated at the start so they cant be in the game. All that remains is rubble and salt filled land.
That's just a computer generated scenario. The historical assault on Carthage would most likely be included in a historical battle. The Romans never salted the land. There is no evidence for this and I don't think classical sources mention it. It's more likely that the salting of the land was made up by more modern historians.
adding Mauryans and also China and Xiong-Nu to game would be so cool.
Mauryans would be very interesting to see, either as a playable faction or nonplayable one. I don't think the game will go any more east than that though, else I don't think it would have been called Rome...
One of the Germanic tribesI have various reasons.
1) Part of my ancestry.
2) my favorite faction from RTW!
3) Fits my playing style. I like the "raid for money, build up a powerful state and conquer" idea behind it.
Pontus. If I can't murder 80,000 Romans Citizens and Italians in one fell swoop then the game may not be worth playing.
I still don't think 8 is enough without cutting some major factions, the smallest I could cut my faction list down to is 9 factions which means somebody is not going to make it.
Rome
Carthage
Seleucid Empire
Achaean League
Ptolemaic Kingdom
Kingdom of Macedonia
Germanic Cumbri
Gallic Arverni
Parthia
There are other factions I think would be fun to play like the Nomadic Scythians but we will probably get them as DLC factions down the road.
