    Default New The Hobbit models.

Okay, we have new models for the Silvan Elves(Mirkwood) now, with their own armour style (Not even close to Lorien's), we also have many new designs to go off of, like the new Dwarf armour as well as the new look for Gundabad orcs, we even have new armour for high elves, which is a re-color of the Last Alliance, is anyone thinking of implementing these?

Bad wording, not a model for the game, but the design of the armour that Thranduil's Elves used.

Nothing, this is a topic about new looks in the Hobbit movie.

ah sry, now I get it.
I didn't see the wood for the trees.
you're right, but your title and opening post where a bit missleading (for me, maybe not for all the others ).

well I think the team will watch the movie and then consider what to change and which things can stay as they are.
another roster will be the one of Dale, but maybe just if the second or even third Hobbit-movie comes out.
but I'm looking forward to the custom settlement - Dale!

Indeed. Dale looks completely different from what we have... and much more near-eastern both city and peoples

I think the movie was ok...
What mainly dissapointed me was Radagast , could be way less patheticness..
I also really dont like how the goblins look , the goblins from Lotr war of the ring were way better IMO . Especially the looks.
Both the High Elves and the Mirkwood elves look very cool as do the dwarves.
Galadriel also is amazing again talking to the 3 others and gandalf in his mind.
Tho it was hard to take saruman seriously when he was talking about evil etc...

The Hobbit 2012-2014 thread is the one to actually review the film, this is about having the new designs from the movie for things we haven't seen before and if we will see them in TATW.

I will be the first to advocate to NOT (never ever!) use the new goblin and troll designs by Del Toro in the future. I did not like anything about the orcs in the new movie, but the new wargs could be separated from the isengard wargs in terms of design. Elves definately, Dwarves god yes!, Dale....we should wait until we see Laketown, as that is the modern "Dale" culture by the time of the game

Agree about the goblins, but the orcs werent too bad. I did like the flashback to the war between dwarves and orcs, it seemed to be some "proto-moria orcs" in the background. the goblins of goblin town seemed to be more of an isolated tribe that were only loosely connected to the orcs of gundabad and moria

The goblins were more as I imagined them actually, except the king of course, that threw me off. I think the first film gives us some new inspiration and resources but the second and third one will probably shape everything more.

that said, Azog may have been the most boring character design I have ever seen, he was just big, pale and bland. He could be used as a basis for some larger orc unit for Gundabad

What? You forgot he is has this wonderful...ehm...
Shale: My heart does not qualify as shiny. I kill. Frequently, and not without pleasure.
Leliana: You had a difficult life. Deep down, at the center of your being, you are a good person. I believe that.
Shale: Even though I have never demonstrated this aspect? How peculiar.
Leliana: You aren't all stone, Shale. There is a person inside of you.
Shale: If so, it is because I ate it.
