    Default Raiding Goblintown

Fundín Ironshield leads a host of 1,000 dwarves to the edges of Long Lake, to combine forces with a contingent of men from Lake Town. The dwarves are in high spirits, and although scantily armed for a dwarven army, have high hopes of success against the Goblins of the north. Many are armed traditionally, with the short but broad swords made deep within the forges of Erebor. Their interlocking chainmail was in a hexagonal pattern, easily wrought and wrought in great numbers in the forges beneath the earth. The goblins of the Misty Mountains would know their wrath.

    - Axes of Khazad Dúm!: +1 offense in battle rolls
    - For the Great Smith, Aulë!: +5 modifier to all defensive siege rolls
    - Low-light Vision: Able to see in the dark and at night

Fundín sent out several look outs to give notice of the men's approach.

Raid and go home. Since I wasn't detected I'm just waiting for the loot roll.

OOC: I should be able to respond?

    Around 7,500 levies present.

The raid wasn't detected at this time, so seeing as you are unaware of the Dwarven raid, that means you can't respond as you know of no danger.

You can post like what the Goblins are doing presently, but can't issue a hostile response due to them being unaware.

The Goblins of The Misty Mountains go abou their business within their tunnels. Each entrance is heavily guarded and hidden. Not much goes on outside the mountain.

Rolls for them to find an entrance?
And rolls for a scouting patrol finding them now?

Upgrade adds +1 to fortress defense.

OOC: Sorry about the delays, with this and everything else. I've been suddenly slumped this week.

A meager force of what appears to be volunteers approaches the Dwarven host, numbering only a hundred.
Although properly equipped with fine spears and shields, with angons here and there to throw, the force is all freemen from Esgaroth: craftsman, merchants, and fishermen; not a noble among them, except for who appears to be their leader.

The old black-haired sergeant brings a message relating the lack of materials in Esgaroth other than these hundred spears.

The Lookouts returned and told of the approach of the spearmen. The dwarves soon picked themselves up again and made ready to leave. Fundin had forked his beard and tucked it into his belt. His conical helmet gave him the appearance of being taller.

"Welcome to our raiding party, men of Esgaroth. We march west, to raid and disrupt our enemy."

The force now augmented with the addition of the force from Esgaroth begin to march westward. Fundin dared not march through the Mirkwood lest they be beset by foul creatures of the wood. It would be a long march he knew his dwarves were up for. They were a hardy race and would not tire before the end.
