Demo for sale?

As I was holiday shopping at my local retailer, Target, I happen to pass by a whole rack of Medieval 2 cases.
I thought to myself, "Oh, these must be due to the large amount of mods and new demand for the game"

However, I noticed that it was a demo for sale, for $5!

Anybody ever seen this at their retailer before?

I've seen it done before, I suppose the shop has to pay to get copies of the demo, so they sell it to try and make a profit.

I can't see anyone buying it when you can buy the full game plus kingdoms in a steam sale for £3.74
