Icon5 This Is The Gaming Computer Im Buying, Is It Worth Getting?

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16883229360 That Motherboard is also SLI capable. 989$.

I have been on some websites and my total for a computer of similar specs was 950-1000$, I don't mind paying 40$ more and that was also including a keyboard/mouse. That comes with a gaming mouse and keyboard already.

Is anyone able to find me a better deal? I would really appreciate the help. My budget is 990$. Can't go above that since tax included it will be about 1117$.

    Intel I7 300$
    MOBO 120$
Graphics Card 100$ Assuming there is good sales
    Case 120$
    Ram 120$
    OP 108$
    HD 75$
    Keyboard/Gaming mouse 120$
    Powersupply 50$

1113$, over budget. But Shipping costs would be about 25$ bringing it to 1138$.

1036$ incuding shipping if I got the computer. 1153$ after taxes.

An I7 is useless for gaming, and I5 (3570k) or even an I3 (3220) will handle everything you can throw at it. An I7 with a gtx650 ( I would want a better card for games) is like pairing a ferrari engine with a ford escort gear box.

You don't need to spend $120 on a case or $120 on ram (cheapest 1600/1333 mhz you can get, they are all the same). Powersupply should cost more than $50 though, get a decent one because if it goes pop it may take $1000 of pc with it. I never understood why people spend hundreds on mice and keyboards either but some people seem to like them.

Unless you run multiple monitors and multiple applications while gaming like I do. Where I have flash applets, and another openGL program running simultaneously while doing CPU intensive tasks. Then an i7 is absolutely necessary.

And if you're video editing or rendering. Forget about using an i5.

Total Headache is right though, you should buy the parts yourself and build your own rig. I'd bet 100 dollars that 700W power supply is a piece of crap that will die within 12 months.

I never put a computer together before, I rather buy it all set up. If I did make my own it would probably be 100-150$ less but I don't mind. As for the graphics card, the MOBO is SLI capable and I can upgrade it when I want. Also have an extra 500 watt power supply that has never died if this one dies.

well psu's can die if they are generic ones. had one die on me...

anyways those bundle deals skimp on quality (or perhaps quality is ok just mediocre performers) parts so you end up with something not so good like a 650 gpu...

that 100-150 bucks would mean something like a 7850 rather than a 650 which would mean quite a bit in terms of overall gaming experience.

loads of guides around and vids..building a rig isnt hard. (it's like a jigsaw..in fact i find the x word in the paper harder )

You are right, that graphics card is complete trash!

I might buy this instead. Performs well and is above 50FPS in all the benchmarks on highest settings.

Thats a terrible attitude... Also somewhat self contradictory.

Also bear in mind in prebuilt pcs the powersupply is generally fairly bad and designed for the voltage that pc requires and not more. Adding a new graphics card may not just work. Also bear in mind its not so simple as your powersupply suddenly not working, it may well destroy your other components in the process. Oh and a 7950 will probably give you a better fps in most games and be more future proof than a 660ti, but once again, your powersupply may not take it.

After reading about how common cyberpowers failure rates are, I will build it myself, I already build a computer just to see if I could do it and I can. I will be a man with strong balls with motivation because I am a real man.
