I would like to know if the cheat console will be making a reappearance.I know some people do not like it but it would be helpful, and if you do not want to use it no one is forcing you.
Maybe it could be disabled on a certain difficulty level?

I'd like for it to, simply because it allows for custom campaign map scenarios and the like. Makes the game fun again once you've beaten it already and perhaps lost the will to continue on.
ya does not mean that i will cheat all the time i just like the option.
Sometimes i play all the way through cheating sometimes without cheats.
I agree with this 100% It was so much fun and it lets you customize your campaign.
i would guess no because its warscape, and warscape engine has no console like its predecessor.
Purely on a personal level, I don't want the cheat console because when I discovered it existed, I never felt like building up my economy again, just gave myself money!![]()
Thanks for the info on warscape i geuss that pretty much sums it up.
and stravroforos i know what you are talking about once you know the cheats are there you are hooked lol.
what i really hope for is a way to edit the campaign map. It would open a world of possibilities.

OPEN BATTLEFIELD CAPTURE POINTS AND IMPACT PUFFS HAVE GOT TO GO!
REVERT INFANTRY THROWING PILAE TO ROME TW'S SYSTEM AS IT WAS PERFECT!
Mobo: GA-P35-S3, CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz, GPU: AMD HD 6850 1GB, RAM: 4.Gb Corsair DDR2, Sound: Audigy 4, O/S: Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
God, this. I funded my campaign against Egypt solely through console money considering I was also taking on the Iberians at the same time... myeconomy just couldn't handle it...
I'm honestly hoping it doesn't make a return. It was fun but it also had me use cheats when I could've really had a nitty-gritty war on two fronts which could have ruined my 'Empire'
You can always have a disable console button at the start of the campaign. If you start a campaign with console disabled, then at no point can you "cheat" your way out.
Interesting to hear all sides of the story.
One side says its hard not to bring yourself to use it thus ruining campaign(understandable)
Other say it would help with modding.
Other say that it would help with seeing all aspects of the game.
Interesting....
It will be extremely useful for modders. I do hope that there is some way to access the console command in Rome 2.
They could give the players the option of activating the console or not (the console or any other cheat option that the game can have). If we activate it the before we start
the campaign the achievements are disabled to a fair game. I personally don't like using the cheat console when I play, but I don't agree taking out this option for the people who like to give money for themselves and other cheating stuff.
Well guys these people lack any remnance of self-discipline so you can't have cheats.
There won't be console anyways but there are trainers and cheat engine.
