Raiding the Goldenwood

[Pyrrhus the Molossian]

1,000 goblins under the command of Ugluk exit the caves amd tunnels of the Misty Moutains and in the darkness enter the Goldenwood. They seek to raid and pillage and search for an elvish settlement.

Upon reaching the edge of the Goldenwood, it becomes clear that the Elves are nowhere to be seen.

They enter the forest. They are in their element at night and know a village must be near the river.

The goblins, although unopposed at this time, find that looting the forest has proven to be a difficult prospect. There are many supplies lying around that they need, but wood is heavy. They manage to plunder only 1% of the Goldenwood's total annual income converted into slave labor. Perhaps more importantly, they have established a staging area within the forest to launch further attacks should they so wish.

The orcs decide to build a fort within the forest digging their usual tunnels and fortifying it heavily. After this is done the goblins delve into the forest again at night seeking to find plunder.

With goblins and all manner of foul creature moving en masse towards the Goldenwood, word quickly spreads that the hosts of Lothlorien must assemble and make plans to meet the foe.

ooc: Star, you need to tell me what your entire force comprises of.

The Elves soon discover the nature of the enemy's intended ambushes and quickly move to counter it. A small force disperses itself within the forest, and soon accurate arrow fire begins to pepper the ranks of the goblin hoard. It soon became obvious that the elves were quite content to stay hidden in the woods.

The goblins withdraw to the fortress. .

The Elves move and surround the Fortress making sure no one can get in or out. They are hidden in the forest and are being supplied. A small force is now scouting the Goldenwood looking to see for any reinforcements.

OOC: Essentially I'm starving you out.

OOC: He says I can't do it so instead I've used the wargs as a cavalry screen and retreated to a flat plain. If you don't come and fight they return to Goblin Town.

OOC: Well you do realize that you will have to go through Forest to reach goblin town. And,

The Elves circle around the Flat Plain and form a defensive area around them hidden by the trees. No one goes in and no one comes out, the Elves are being supplied slowly and anyone who comes close gets shot.

OOC: So again I'm kind of starving you out.

OOC: Lol no you're not. I said I set a cavalry screens. Unless you form into a battle formation and fight me I'll simply use my huge cavalry advantage to keep you at bay and march off. Your men can't simply magically appear in trees all around me without going through my men AND climbing up them.

You also have only 200 archers. Same as me.

OOC: Lol no you're not. I said I set a cavalry screens. Unless you form into a battle formation and fight me I'll simply use my huge cavalry advantage to keep you at bay and march off. Your men can't simply magically appear in trees all around me without going through my men AND climbing up them.

I have Cavalry too and Archers. So unless your cavalry is going to follow me into the forest where I will simply just surround and kill them, they aren't that useful. Plus we know the forest way better then you we could circle around and such.

OOC: You have to specifically buy both cavalry and any archers with any armour amd weapons.

Anything else is lightly armed levy infantry.

I've made cavalry screens and I have just as many archers as you do. 7,000 men can't just disperse...
