Into the Third Deep

[Trot]

A Toll 4000 goblins a hundred of witch are armored (+2) enter the third deep. Their leader Chief Rugtak Marches keeping them in order. he hisses "Find the beasts and eradicatesss them. This place Belongssss to the goblinsss." With that command they begin to spread out looking for any dark things to kill and the stash of weapons left here by the Dwarfs.

The goblins made their way noisily into the initial passages of The Third Deep, finding nothing out of the ordinary. It was incredibly dark, even for goblins, but soon several large torches had produced enough fire to create several larger fires in the corners of the chambers. The Third Deep was wide, nearly a mile long in the first level where the armories stood, with various chambers leading down to the foundries below, long silent. A great amount of debris and waste cluttered the floor. The deeper the goblins ventured into the deepest points, tension grew. Slimy secretions seemed to line the floor, and in some areas discarded and dried bones and waste gathered along the walls in piles. Cobwebs were found everywhere. The looting had barely begun to commence when the party came under attack.

Long creatures with thin legs began to descend from the ceilings! They appeared to be large insects, long dormant in the deeps, as if hibernating, but now awoken. They descended upon their guests with a ravenous brutality. It soon became clear that their chief weapons were their mandibles and two thicker legs in the front of them that acted as scythes. The initial assualt seemed to awaken other colonies as well, as soon another group was emerging from cracks within the floor. The entire lower hall of forges was infested quite severely.

ooc: You need to specify your unit types. this is also a good opportunity to establish some lore here by naming these things, etc.

ooc I have a list of my units some where in the ooc thread I will dig it up soon so I can establish lore on them as in there strengths and weakness?
"Blag Resnicksss. Let the Troll go." he commands. With that goblins holding the chains connected to the trolls arms let go. It barrels ahead headless of danger into the monsters. Rugtak then brings 1000 javelin men forward an hurls them at the beasts scattered through out the caves. Te rest of the goblins charge forward engaging in melee with the beasts after the spears are thrown,

ooc: You don't have those weapons, as you haven't purchased any upgrades for buildings that produce them. You have 100 suits of +2 armor and that's about all I can find in terms of equipment you have. Any unequipped troops are assumed to be light infantry. You need to organize more before I can continue with this.

ooc well as i'm rping them they are mostly a hoard. I haven't organized them into a full regiments yet but i'll try.
As the troll rumbles forward. The hundred armored goblins stand behind Rugtak. "Follow me". He hisses. If one could see what he was thinking he would see evil thoughts swirling thourgh his head. You would see him dismembering and disecting the beasts. You would see him doing many things, but the important thing is he knows these creatures the ones goblins call Resnick have little armor and can be easily smashed by trolls. 500 more in various light armour and wielding axes also join the attack. The 1,500 light swords men and the 1,000 goblins with clubs hang back there weapons would not be nearly as effective on the beasts. The other 1000 goblins are armed with short spears they stay in the back their peirceing attacks next to useless.

No, I need a unit list. You can't have trolls, for example, unless you buy them

No, there's no way for you to have 1,000 spearmen. You need to read the rules.

they are light infantry they are light infantry with spears. YOu have asked me to distinguish my troops I have. The weapons don't have to give bonuses but they are light weapons. If you don't want it two be spears then divide them 500 more axe men s50 sword men and 250 club men

Can't you see how that's confusing for moderators who have to do battles...? Don't break them down like that. Just saw light infantry for troops with no equipped weapons or armor because it won't make a difference in battles at all except to add confusion.

The insects begin to fall from the ceiling in growing numbers, attacking isolated groups of goblins until the main assault began.

OOC Casualties?
The troll blunders ahead with reckless disregard for friend and foe alike. Goblins scurry away to avoid being trampled by the beast. Mean while the various groups of Goblins fall back to the beasts that have Isolated them . Some fall quickly to such an onslaught but these are the week. Their death just leads to the survivors to fight harder. They step over their comrades fallen bodies with looks of contempt on their face. Chief Rugtak and his Armored goblins are quickly surrounded. "Bah these things are nothing more then ants crusssh them." he hisses with that he trusts a rusted sword though ones abdomen and pulls it out in time to lop off another head. Green blood flows form the wounds creating great puddles on the floor. The rest of his group is invigorated by this display and begin fighting with a furry never be for imagined. Together the Goblins fight their way through the beasts relishing the blood and gore. They continue fighting like this untill they are once more a unified force Rugtak in the lead. The troll continues to blunder ahead crushing the beasts with each step.
