Default How do I boost gold and population?

    Hello all,

I find this mod quite enthralling. However, I also find it way too slow paced. My gold is highly limited and my towns grow sooo slowly.
Does anyone know how (and in which files) to easily increase the overall gold earned and population growth as well?

I need more and larger armies for a more epic experience instead of 500 vs. 500 battles for the first 100 turns.

Thanks alot - now let's hunt some orcs!

It is supposed to be 500vs5000 and it is way more epic than 5000vs5000

But if you want to, try settlement_mechanics (or something similar, not sure, I am away from my TA) in the data folder. You should be able to adjust population growth and income there.

Edit: if you really need money, force your allies to give you tributes. There is an easy but slow way to do it using an exploit or you could do the same very quick with Total Diplomacy submod. Such tributes does not make it feel so much like cheating.

For economy search the "corruption" topic on the msg boards. All u have to do is reduce the corruption in one of the txt files and you'll get a good economy.

It did the trick, thanks mr. Petrus (reminds me of a marvellous wine I have yet to taste).
I will now engage in cataclysmic struggles of cosmic proportions!

In descr_strat you can adjust your starting treasury and King's Purse.

I am just going to say it anyways, but I assume you have put your settings for units on "huge"? If you do you should start battles with more than 500 soldiers from turn one.

    I think your right .
I use alwasy in huge size and in average ,with Isengard, my full size hords always had betwen 3,000 to 4,000.Each batallion have around 200 to 251 unit.
Now with Men,Elves and Dwarfes this number will probably reduce to half has their units size dont go more than 150īs plus they use cavalry squadrons where it reduces alot the total of units in a army.
With my latest campaign with Isengard ,VH/VH huge size, around turn 200īs i had more than 20,000 Huruk-hai at my service.

Cheats are for weak, but as its common i wont loose time explaining why.

So ,you dont need to do anything special ,specially cheats, just patient and passion for this game history.

    The long way:
Set all tax levels on low and wait tons of turns More population = more taxes = more gold

Otherwise are there cheats. They should be easy enough to find.

    Others should allready be listed

I assume you are danish with that name?
