Default Lore-friendly ideas for custom garrison maps

I am interested in using some custom garrison scripts to make the end-game more interesting. We all know there is quite a thrill in the first 50 turns of territory rushing, and turns 50-150 tend to be a steady expansion boom where it is fun to first use elite units, but after turn 150 the game becomes a long mop-up without any real threat to your lands.

Often I find myself trying to delay taking Moria. Why? Because it is a special fun map, and I want to use my best army. The special Balrog garrison makes this a particularly pleasurable battle to fight.

What are some other special super-garrisons which I could add that are mostly lore-friendly? I would consider things that are not QUITE accurate to lore but which still fit a settlement/faction's overall style (for example, special garrison 2 units of Ents and 5 Silvan Heavy Archers in Lothlorien).

Any ideas? One obvious one is Barad Dur, which is the endpoint for many good faction campaigns (all Elves, Gondor, etc). It could specially garrison several Nazgul, Sauron, and some Olog-Hai.

i think a mouth of sauron unit at the black gate would be an interesting battle. almost like a weaker saruon but still destructive enough to make a fight out of any battle know matter how strong your army.

The Mouth wasn't a particularly good fighter, just a herald and diplomat. Is he a custom general or not?
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

That's a cool idea... he could be a high command general considering that he gives orders from Sauron himself. Garrison him some interesting units to support and it would be a good fight. He could also have a very strong bodyguard (Morannon Olog-Hai with swords like Aragorn fought in ROTK film).

the mouth is not a custom general yet. so it could be easier to put him in a custom settlement garrison.

I like this position because it comes at the end of some evil campaigns. Like Erebor its on the distant side of the map for evil. If it was in Rivendell, then OotMM would be too difficult. They need to eliminate Rivendell in the early game.

What would be a good special garrison? Usually when Tolkien talks about good factions a lot of emphasis is put on their heroes and nobles. Maybe some special Elven generals with a custom large bodyguard of Eldar Swordsmasters or Eregion Smiths.

Perhaps for Minas Tirith they could add, 'Flaming Denethor' which is literally a special missile unit that launches clones of Denethor at the attacking foe, while they are on fire.

Or seriously, we could have a special Elven Garrison at the Hornburg that magically appear for no reason. OH SNAP! Eat THAT PJ!

Ok, serious time. I think that Erebor could have a special garrison unit called, 'The Companions of Thorin' which are the surviving dwarves of Thorin's expedition to Erebor, and they could be superstrong and generally be awesome!

I could throw some ideas out again, but note the hard coded limit of adding new troops to the game and also notice that it should not alter the balance on the map, unless that faction is already in a tight spot. Balance > all. Also, consider that once those units have spawned, they are available to use freely after, unless coded otherwise.

    Anyway, some ideas:

    - Swan Knights for Dol Amroth (actually, any AOR units are suitable for their respective regions)
    - Rangers for Bree
    - A weakened version of Sauron in Barad Dur, unless he is already walking around, or got killed off already (weakened as he doesn't have the One Ring)
