Rockets?

Take a look at this screenshot:

What would you say the box-shaped objects are in the bottom left (also on the unit cards)? I'm thinking rockets of some sort. The chinese used a similar contraption, so I assume the faction is the Mongols or Timurids.

Yeah alot (exaggeration) of middle eastern nations of this time used rockets (i guess you could call them that).

I am curious what the tower is to the left of the castle in the distance? Why would a watchtower be built right next to a castle with it's own towers and such? I wonder what its purpose is.

Those are the medevial machine guns that appeared one of the videos. The launch multiple flaming exploding balista bolts, as far as I can tell.

I think he knows that, I feel his comment seems to be a joke/sarcasm, in that if they mtd cannons on Nellies(although we hope they will be 'small' cannons, which is what we expect historically)then perphaps CA may present rockets mtd on them too?
Although that seems very unlikely, because every decent and politically correct person, should keep animals indoors, when fireworks are going to be used! But having said that they did let us set pigy's alight in RTW.
