Before I post anything in this thread I will proclaim my fashion manifesto:

Many of today’s men always associate fashion with something unworthy or/and that lacks any “manly” qualities or anything that can be compare or associated with manliness. However most of these people are ignorant who don’t know that a “true man” is a “gentleman” that takes care of himself as well as being educated in aesthetics, which along the line includes knowing how to dress. How well you take care of yourself represents how much you respect yourself as well as those around you, especially your friends, family and partner. Obviously sometimes overdoing things can be “unfashionable” such as dressing too elegantly or too flamboyant and to discern this we must educate ourselves to known how to represent ourselves to society in any given occasion.

I've always thought the military uniforms during the 1700s and 1800s were quite cool.
But as far as "coolness" goes in clothing, nothing trumps the uniforms of the Wehrmacht and the Kriegsmarine. The nazis, for all their insane and bizzarre ideals, had a good sense of aesthetics. You have to give 'em that.

some of those suits look a little "festive" if ya knw wat i mean but some are nice 3rd from top 2nd from bottom.

personally i prefer quiksilver shirts, levi jeans and my vintage metal shirts. I hate spending a crap load of money on clothes. 100 for a pair of jeans and 70 for a shirt, f-that.

Hey, can we post fictional clothing and etc.?
Because I have a collection of fictional uniforms and such, which count as clothing, and thus a part of fashion and aesthetics.

Rex - I want to attack everyone of the models you've posted so far. I think it's because they are foreign looking, wearing alien clothes and I'm tribal like that.
Hmmm, you should come to New York...

I like fashion that people create on their own. You do something unique or different but not too outrageous that it's just to get attention. I don't know if you'd call that fashion or style.
People do it all the time, but it has to look "proper"...

    Well...since I didn't recieve an answer, I'll assume "yes".
Here's a few fictional examples of wearable aestheic enhancements (clothes):

The uniform of an Obersturmbannführer of the StormGuard, the Central Galactic Union's elite paramilitary organization, c. 6300.

As you can tell, it takes many cues from SS uniforms, but with some noticable differences. The uniform is manufactured so as to be comfortable, yet aesthetically pleasing to onlookers.

The uniform of a Generalfeldmarshall of the Central Galactic Union Army, c.6300

Once again, note the similarities to a Wehrmacht army uniform. It exudes that particular sense of action, readiness, and power.

And remember, these are fictional. They do not reflect any personal politics of mine.

But of course not. I don't even have things that look like that. It's for a sci-fi story, anyway.

Here's are some more, ethically-neutral, garments, yet still fictional, or at least semi-fictional...
Military Uniforms of Infantry, c. 1799, from my Sorrow of the Samurai alternate history universe.

I basically used one template, and copied over and over again, and edited when neccessary.
The uniforms are mostly similar to OTL, with some exceptions, the most notable being the elven commonwealth and vamypric commonwealth, tow nobles-republic type of nations which are ruled and mostly populated by the aforementioned namesake creature. The thing to remember in this timeline, is that the "elves" are humans. They just have a genetic mutation that gives them a better capacity for energy and power. Similar thing with the vampires. Vampirism is just a disease that causes a deficiency in hemoglobin and certain materials in blood, so they need to obtain it from outside sources. The upside is that they live longer lives. Their uniforms reflect their all-too-often use of vicious night raids to defeat their enemies in war.

Man, I wish I had a proper suit sometimes. Not like a formal occasion one, but a proper day lounging suit...that would be cool. Then again, informal stuff like I wear now does the trick for me most of the time...although those guys do look damn cool.
